Annual tree safety.

Here are a few photos of us going about the annual tree safety we undertake every winter. This work can range from the fairly easy small trees, as shown in this gallery, to huge mature trees in awkward places where we will need to use lowering equipment to prevent damage to property whilst managing traffic and pedestrians.
Most of this work is on sites where public safety is the main concern so unsafe trees, dead wood and hanging branches/limbs all have to be removed from footpaths, highways, carparks and from around buildings.

About ntaxemen

It's not all about axes. There are three foresters plus one apprentice in the North Lakes. Our names are Thomas, Bob, Anthony and Steven. We cover Ullswater, Borrowdale and Buttermere. We're the ones who go out into 1000 hectares of National Trust woodlands in these valleys and make sure they're healthy and safe.
